why yes, I am overqualified...
I just had to let everyone know somehow that I won Best Of for Broadway Revue and I'm totally geeking out about it!!! It's not even a trick! At least I don't think it is. It would be pretty mean of them to tell me I won and then it not be true.... Could someone be that cruel... No, I don't think so... It's too early to text anyone and it's killing me! But I will put some pictures up of it later. You know, for the two of you that read my blog...

she was one frozen entree away from a nervous breakdown
Okay, maybe not a frozen entree but genetics test... one genetics test away from a nervous break down. Well it's that time of the semester again... Finals. I have my last take home genetics test due tomorrow in class and then we are taking our comprehensive final (also in class) and then a stats final tomorrow night in the testing center. Religion's final also opens tomorrow on blackboard, but luckily it's open until Saturday at midnight. My final English project is due in class on Thursday and then I"M DONE!!! YAY!!! Except that in about a week I'm starting it all over again. I'm taking 18 credits (Anat & Phys, O Chem 2 [yes again and hopefully I won't fail again], Psych, Lit, family foundations, and some capstone class that I'm required to take but am pretty ticked about) on top of work (at the tutoring center) and a state certified EMT class on Monday nights. We have to read 4 chapters and complete a workbook on each chapter before every class... That'll be interesting I guess. Actually I'm pretty excited about it all. You know, life is easier when you know exactly what you are doing... I should try that more often. I did go down to Utah! Yay! Actually for the past two weekends. The first weekend I stayed with Ashley and Ben and Gavin and Risi came too! We had birthday fun for Cherisse who is 19 already! Who knew she could grow up? Who knew I could grow up for that matter? And I took some pictures this time so good job to me. Last weekend I went down to see my parents who were there to go to conference. We stayed with Gramps and I'm so excited because Grandpa, Risi, and I are going to a movie on my birthday (when I return to Utah yet again for Toni's wedding [Yay!]). I also saw Liz and her mom because they were staying with Ben and Ash while looking for an apartment for Liz. Which, did you ever find one Liz? We had lots of good times and conference was really amazing. As usual. And then on Thursday I'll be driving down to Utah again in order to catch a flight to AZ for the break on Friday. YAY!!!

someone called... about something....
Just when I think I have it all figured out, the cosmos definitely let me know that they were joking... I still don't know about this whole Paramedicine thing but I'm pretty sure I'm going to do it. BUT I had an amazing weekend because Risi, Ash, Ben and Gavin came up over the weekend and we had a jolly good time! We pretty much went to every store in Rexburg after I got off work and then my roommates got to hold Gavin during sacrament meeting which was basically the highlight of their life. At least Emily's... She loved it. And so did he. But when I tried to hold him... NO. He wanted his mom. What a momma's boy.... Just kidding. It was because I was sitting next to her and he does like her best. She gives him food and stuff. Oh and she gave him life... Like that's important... Tonight was FHE and we had a pingpong tournament and guess who won!? If you guessed Big Kev, then you'd be right. Then when we were driving home, half way there I realized Big Kev was not wearing his seat belt so I had to pull over, which he was not expecting so it was pretty hilarious. I'm pretty sure he thinks I'm crazy but seatbelts are put in cars for a reason. He should know that. Anyway... I'm really sad because I didn't get any pictures with Risi, Ash, Ben and Gavin. I'm kind of a loser that way... So here are some other random pictures.
This is a randome one of Cherisse. She is watching StarGate and it is INTENSE!!! I feel it too Cherisse... I feel it too...

This is me and Risi watching Power Rangers. I don't know why we were watching it. You would have to ask Cherisse that...

This is a picture I took of Livi when she was tiny. I LOVE IT!

Hahaha, I let my roommate rat my hair, she did a pretty good job...

This is my new Kick-Butt roommie Emily. We like her. For the most part...

And these are roommies from semester's past....
Here is Margret, we call her Margie...

Hahaha, I'm proud of this picture. Abigail and I were studying O Chem and I was secretly taking pictures of her with my webcam. Haha, guess who failed the test and who didn't...

This one we call Channel.... Haha, she eats baby food.

Now this one is Liz. In case you didn't know, Liz is the sister of Ben who is married to my sister Ashlee. They now have a baby named Gavin. Who came to visit me this weekend! Did you follow all that?

This is Allison. Aka Ali. She's a little less favorite... haha JUST KIDDING! We like her a lot.

This was Abigail's and my second semester together. She looks so young!

Hahaha, well those were good times. I should probably write that 10 page research paper on Human Genetic Engineering that's due tomorrow....

I refuse to let common sense cloud my judgement
I'm definitely supposed to be doing a Genetics take home test right now and finding it incredibly hard to do so... So I'm doing this instead. Here are some pictures of me trying to complete said test.
Okay, lets look at this puppy...

Wow, these first few questions are kind of hard...

They're all kind of hard...

Who knows this kind of crap?!

Is it even possible to answer this question!? Is my teacher clinically insane?!

Now this is just wrong...

Somebody please, PLEASE put me out of my misery!

So in addition to this painfully hard test I'm trying to complete, I'm in the middle of my life right now... and if by life you think I mean crisis, you'd be right. So I came to school thinking, "Sure, being a doctor would be sweet." Shortly there-after, I decided to go to PA school. (That's physician's assistant school for those of you who are scratching your head, all 4 of you who could possibly read this) So PA schools have a few things in common as to what they want for prerequisites. These are: Bachelor's degree from an acredited college, 3.0 gpa or higher (higher being preferred), a bunch of classes (including ochem, biochem, psychology, anat and phys, and microbiology), and 2000 PAID hours of medical experience. 2000 HOURS! I don't know about you but I'm pretty sure that it's incredibly hard to get a job right out of college with just a bachelor's in science in the medical field. So I joined the PA society at BYUI to explore what options I had to find a job because, you know, maybe they could help me with that. At our most recent meeting a man came in to talk to us about the Paramedicine degree which is tailored to people wanting to be a PA. It's amazing. By the first semester you are certified to be an EMT and actually do ride-alongs and get paid and it works towards your hours. They also find you an internship at the end of the program! Crazy right? But then you have a job as soon as you graduate. It's amazing. But here's the thing. I'm almost done with my biology degree and have not finished some of my generals and there are a few prerequisites to the EMT program that I would have to take. I would have to get all these classes done this coming semester to enter into the EMT program in fall 2009. It's 6 classes I have to take and I'm not even on track next semester. I will also have to petition the school to let me stay in because I have a ton of credits already. So now I have to make a decision. Finish my Bio degree (which I would be done with in the same amount of time if I changed to EMT) or change my degree to paramedicine. And I have to decide all of this before tuesday. I learned all this thursday night. So, any suggestions?
Also, PS, here is a picture of how sweet my bangs are sometimes when I try and do my hair. You can't really tell in the picture but they are freaking sweet!

On that note, I'll sign off and try to finish this test. But seriously, I am looking for any and all suggestions for my future... I might even call a psychic.

More Medication, Please!
ADD pills really are the best things ever invented. People who don't believe in ADD, well I wish you could spend just one, one annoyingly distracted hour in my brain... And then tell me it doesn't exist... Anyway... This is me trying incredibly hard to not do my homework and so far it's working so, yay...

If by "happy" you mean trapped with no means of escape...? ...then yes, I'm happy
So school is kicking me in the butt with no end in sight. What really gets my goat? It's that I feel like I really understand what's going on in my classes and then I get the test back and the truth is I apparently don't in anyway shape or form understand what the devils going on and the people around me who don't know what's going on get better grades than me!!! Also, goat thieves get my goat... Also, I'm pretty sure no one reads this blog at all except Risi and Ashlee so I don't know why I do it... Alas, my cause is a lost one.... (That's for all you Slipper and the Rose lovers out there) Anyway, here are some pictures to make the post worth while...
This is me and Abigail in Central Park in New York City. Oh Abigail why did you leave me!?

This is me and Balsy McGee that I'm taking care of for Marie... Yeah, don't ask...

This is what happens when you leave your door unlocked and your camera out... Cute Liz... This is from a couple of semesters ago.

This is me from this semester in Apt. 133. My hair dye is fresh.

Okay this picture is in the Red Lion Hotel in Pocatello, ID where Susannah and I stayed the night after I totaled my car... I don't really know why I'm smiling. Right after I took this I had to talk to the insurance agent for like an hour...

This is the sign of the Red Lion Hotel where Susa and I stayed the night.

This is my new (and by new I mean used) CR-V. It's pretty much the best car there is. Be jealous....

This is from Christmas when Mom had me take my life into my hands and climb up on the wall separating the family room and the dining room. The ledge I'm sitting on is pretty much only 2 ft. wide and around 10 feet up. Yeah, I only almost died a couple of times...

This is Olivia asleep...

This is Risi's head wound, I mean hair color wash-out.

So that's petty much it for this post. I know you are incredibly disappointed that it's over...
