someone called... about something....

Just when I think I have it all figured out, the cosmos definitely let me know that they were joking... I still don't know about this whole Paramedicine thing but I'm pretty sure I'm going to do it. BUT I had an amazing weekend because Risi, Ash, Ben and Gavin came up over the weekend and we had a jolly good time! We pretty much went to every store in Rexburg after I got off work and then my roommates got to hold Gavin during sacrament meeting which was basically the highlight of their life. At least Emily's... She loved it. And so did he. But when I tried to hold him... NO. He wanted his mom. What a momma's boy.... Just kidding. It was because I was sitting next to her and he does like her best. She gives him food and stuff. Oh and she gave him life... Like that's important... Tonight was FHE and we had a pingpong tournament and guess who won!? If you guessed Big Kev, then you'd be right. Then when we were driving home, half way there I realized Big Kev was not wearing his seat belt so I had to pull over, which he was not expecting so it was pretty hilarious. I'm pretty sure he thinks I'm crazy but seatbelts are put in cars for a reason. He should know that. Anyway... I'm really sad because I didn't get any pictures with Risi, Ash, Ben and Gavin. I'm kind of a loser that way... So here are some other random pictures.
This is a randome one of Cherisse. She is watching StarGate and it is INTENSE!!! I feel it too Cherisse... I feel it too...

This is me and Risi watching Power Rangers. I don't know why we were watching it. You would have to ask Cherisse that...

This is a picture I took of Livi when she was tiny. I LOVE IT!

Hahaha, I let my roommate rat my hair, she did a pretty good job...

This is my new Kick-Butt roommie Emily. We like her. For the most part...

And these are roommies from semester's past....
Here is Margret, we call her Margie...

Hahaha, I'm proud of this picture. Abigail and I were studying O Chem and I was secretly taking pictures of her with my webcam. Haha, guess who failed the test and who didn't...

This one we call Channel.... Haha, she eats baby food.

Now this one is Liz. In case you didn't know, Liz is the sister of Ben who is married to my sister Ashlee. They now have a baby named Gavin. Who came to visit me this weekend! Did you follow all that?

This is Allison. Aka Ali. She's a little less favorite... haha JUST KIDDING! We like her a lot.

This was Abigail's and my second semester together. She looks so young!

Hahaha, well those were good times. I should probably write that 10 page research paper on Human Genetic Engineering that's due tomorrow....

I refuse to let common sense cloud my judgement

I'm definitely supposed to be doing a Genetics take home test right now and finding it incredibly hard to do so... So I'm doing this instead. Here are some pictures of me trying to complete said test.
Okay, lets look at this puppy...

Wow, these first few questions are kind of hard...

They're all kind of hard...

Who knows this kind of crap?!

Is it even possible to answer this question!? Is my teacher clinically insane?!

Now this is just wrong...

Somebody please, PLEASE put me out of my misery!

So in addition to this painfully hard test I'm trying to complete, I'm in the middle of my life right now... and if by life you think I mean crisis, you'd be right. So I came to school thinking, "Sure, being a doctor would be sweet." Shortly there-after, I decided to go to PA school. (That's physician's assistant school for those of you who are scratching your head, all 4 of you who could possibly read this) So PA schools have a few things in common as to what they want for prerequisites. These are: Bachelor's degree from an acredited college, 3.0 gpa or higher (higher being preferred), a bunch of classes (including ochem, biochem, psychology, anat and phys, and microbiology), and 2000 PAID hours of medical experience. 2000 HOURS! I don't know about you but I'm pretty sure that it's incredibly hard to get a job right out of college with just a bachelor's in science in the medical field. So I joined the PA society at BYUI to explore what options I had to find a job because, you know, maybe they could help me with that. At our most recent meeting a man came in to talk to us about the Paramedicine degree which is tailored to people wanting to be a PA. It's amazing. By the first semester you are certified to be an EMT and actually do ride-alongs and get paid and it works towards your hours. They also find you an internship at the end of the program! Crazy right? But then you have a job as soon as you graduate. It's amazing. But here's the thing. I'm almost done with my biology degree and have not finished some of my generals and there are a few prerequisites to the EMT program that I would have to take. I would have to get all these classes done this coming semester to enter into the EMT program in fall 2009. It's 6 classes I have to take and I'm not even on track next semester. I will also have to petition the school to let me stay in because I have a ton of credits already. So now I have to make a decision. Finish my Bio degree (which I would be done with in the same amount of time if I changed to EMT) or change my degree to paramedicine. And I have to decide all of this before tuesday. I learned all this thursday night. So, any suggestions?

Also, PS, here is a picture of how sweet my bangs are sometimes when I try and do my hair. You can't really tell in the picture but they are freaking sweet!

On that note, I'll sign off and try to finish this test. But seriously, I am looking for any and all suggestions for my future... I might even call a psychic.
